Happy Thanksgiving!
Thanksgiving was busy but a great success. Terry orchestrated a great meal. And her decorations on the table were very nice. We really liked these cornucopias made out of waffle cones at each place setting. Thank you for the delicious food.

We stayed over in Salem at Ivan and Terry’s house so we could help prepare for Thanksgiving. Magnus helped to make one of the pumpkin pies. Here he is mixing away.

We had fun playing with these giant rubber bands Elina got at work. We made a ring for Magnus to play in. He eventually brought this step stool into it to sit on.

Our little guy is now pretty good at knowing things just by watching us. Today, he picked up Ruth’s phone and stated talking into it. He has also shown that he knows how keys work (by unlocking a door), how to feed our turtle, and how to stand on the Wii Fit board, among others.

Like many others, Dana was sad to hear of the demise of Hostess. So, also like many others, Dana bought a few favorites. And they are very good. Hostess, we will miss you.

Lately, Magnus has really liked watching animal videos, so when he and Dana went to the library today Magnus choose this video to borrow. Also, when they were leaving Magnus took a brochure from a display and stood in the middle of the main entrance area and talked to it very excitedly to the smiles of many other patrons.

Ruth held a Christmas photo shoot for Magnus this morning. Magnus was cooperative enough and appreciated the milk and treats. Dana went to see Wreck-It-Ralph this evening with Anton. It was a very fun movie.

Tonight, when Ruth told Magnus to give me a good night hug, he went and hugged this toy instead. He must really like this toy.

Happy Birthday, Steen!
Happy Veterans Day!
Sunday night at Farmor’s. Magnus found a box of no-bake Jell-O cheesecake in the pantry downstairs. He opened the box and took out the pouches inside. Then he slowly carried them up the stairs. Else was at the top an was wondering why it was taking so long for him to come up, also, why there was a lot of huffing and pounding…

We got the guitar out today and played a little music. Magnus was mildly entertained.

The new James Bond movie opened tonight! Else watched Magnus so we could go and see it at midnight. We played a little James Bond Scene It before going over. We went to the fancy new theater at the mall. We got their pretty early, worried there would be a long line. But there wasn’t.
We loved the movie.

Farmor got this cool haunted Lego castle for Halloween. He loves to play with it when he comes to visit.
We also made caramel corn tonight. Our air popper stopped working, though, so we had to pop all the kernels in a brown paper bag in the microwave.
R.I.P. Air popper. You mostly worked :-/

Magnus got this little laptop from a neighbor and immediately went to work at it. He likes turning the volume up and down. It’s the best!

Happy Halloween!
Magnus the Frog got to go trick-or-treating tonight. We also had lots of fun carving our pumpkins in the morning (which we think turned out pretty cool). Happy Halloween!

We have seen this movie several times now. Magnus really loves it and asks to watch it. Today, he actually said the name Totoro, though it sounded more like “Totolo.” He has several favorite parts that he thinks are very funny.

We cleaned out our pumpkins today and saved a lot of the seeds. Ruth is going roast them for a yummy snack.

A big gathering of family and friends brought us to Salem. Terry set a wonderful table for everyone and set up a '”make your own” pizza bar with so many toppings to choose from. It was delicious. Here Magnus is wondering where everyone is; we were all making our pizzas! And Ivan also made caramel apples for dessert. Thanks, everybody!

Dana grew up with a book to put stickers in that he still has. So we thought it would be fun to start one for Magnus. Ruth made this little book for him and we have been filling it up. Magnus loves to put the stickers in himself. He has even started putting stickers he finds in his book, including one of those security strips from a DVD box.

We got to go see the King Tut exhibit in Seattle today. It was awe-inspiring. Some of the pieces were very interesting and cool. We also had fun seeing other things in the Seattle Science Center, Pike’s Place Market, and the waterfront. See more on our adventure here.
