Elina’s park pass was expiring today, so we decided to use it one last time. Elina and Dana headed up to the south side of Mt. St. Helens. They hiked Lava Canyon and found all the waterfalls and climbed The Ship. Then they scrambled around on the Lahar Flows taking in the great views of the mountain. Last, they hiked to June Lake to see the waterfall flowing out of a cliff. They were very tired at the end of the day, but it was worth it.

The youth in our church in the area have been preparing a special music festival for months now. Today was the performance. In was nice to hear all the songs and musical selections chosen. We did not get a very good picture of it, but Magnus remembered to get a shot.

Practicing the “get all of the toys out of the box much to Mom’s chagrin” game. He is getting pretty good. He has been trained well.

The boys often get along quite well. Though Magnus sometimes gets upset when Gideon just wants to eat everything. And Gideon just grunts a lot.

It was berry picking time at Farmor’s. We got all of the black currants, a big bowl of raspberries, and a bowl of blue berries. Plus it was very pleasant outside.

First Day of Summer!
We met the Will Keeler family halfway between our houses in Maryhill, WA. We spent the morning looking at Washington’s Stonehenge and hiking a piece of the Oregon Trail. The best part though was seeing the cousins have a lot of fun together.
