Dana got to go hiking by himself today. The trail he wanted to go on was closed, due to a rock having damaged a bridge. Instead he went and found some virtually unknown gems, so obscure that the only way to get to them is park on the side of the freeway. This 1872 wagon road, the first road built through the Gorge, was really neat and entirely covered in moss. There were also moss covered sections of the original Columbia River Highway that have been abandoned. And he scrambled up a creek channel to find Summit Falls.
