Happy Chocolate Milkshake Day!
From camp we headed for the mountains and Mt. St. Helens. Our fist stop was Meta Lake, an area that escaped some of the destruction in 1980 because of how it is situated. The lake is neat because now it is teaming with life. We found hundreds of dime sized baby frogs that had recently emerged from being tadpoles. We then went to Windy Ridge and climbed the 368 steps to the top to marvel at the views. After a quick stop at Iron Creek Falls, we were back at camp. Anton met us and when it was late we headed to an open hill top with lots of other people hoping to glimpse the Northern Lights (which never showed), but we did see lots of stars.
