Day 2: We stopped at Fossil Butte National Monument in Wyoming on our way to Colorado. It’s a 50 Million year old lake bed. In specific layers of the rock there are many many fossils. Lots of fish and plants. It was a nice stop on our long drive. We got to Colorado Springs late that night, and Matthew was ready to run downstairs to greet us.
