Day 7: After saying good-bye to Emily and the kids we headed north and west again. We made a stop in Loveland to see Dana’s aunt, Ileane. We then went into the mountains. The road through Rocky Mountain NP brought us above 12,000 ft. This is Dana at Rock Cut (12,300 ft.), a short hike near the top of the road. The mountains were beautiful, but the park was a bit busy, due to Elk Fest in Estes Park. We saw some neat wildlife, and the changing colors of fall.
